Celtic Fire Design is a mother – daughter design team comprised of myself, Cherie and my daughter Cara Rensing. I make all the glass lampwork beads from raw rods of glass in a propane and oxygen torch.  Together with Cara we incorporate them into beautiful, unique, wearable pieces of art and jewellery with intent.

A large percentage of our work is custom design.  Taking time to understand what the piece is to represent, we work hard to incorporate gemstones that combine the intent and essence of the piece with the metaphysical properties of the stones and design of the glass.  Making jewellery with 'intent' has become a passion of ours.  We're very proud of our pieces and the impact they have on our clients who are now all over the world.  We welcome and look forward to discussing custom designs with our clients.

The most satisfying lines we make are those that touch people’s hearts and impact their spirit.  After losing our husband and father to a car accident 2 years ago, we began making “Memorial Beads”.   We infuse a small amount of cremains from a loved one that has passed within the molten glass, after working the glass into its design; they are then made into key chains, window charms, pendants, book marks or shelf art.  They are very near to our hearts as we truly understand the journey of grief and loss.  We know firsthand the peace and comfort these pieces can bring, it is a wonderful experience to hold the glass and feel it warm from your body heat.  June 09, the “House of Ruth” invited us to participate in a ‘Day of Celebration’ for past and current residents.  I was asked to make pendants that would reflect the journey these recovering ladies are on.  As a result, "Ruth’s Garden of Courage Pendants" came to be.  It was truly an honour to spend time with them, talk to them about our own personal journey of courage after losing our husband and father and congratulate them on their courage to rebuild their lives.   I was humbled by their appreciation and gratitude.  We are very proud that our art brings much peace and comfort into our clients’ lives; many have told us we have made a difference in their lives with our art.
